General Info:

  • DDA flats do not have separate stamp duty rates; standard Delhi rates apply.
  • Buyers must cross-check the current circle rate for their sector before calculating stamp duty.
  • Stamp duty and registration charges must be paid before registration at the Sub-Registrar’s office
  • E-stamping is now mandatory; physical stamp papers are available.
  • Payment receipts and e-stamp certificates must be retained as proof for tax deduction claims (Section 80C).
  • Deliberate undervaluation or omission in stamp duty payment attracts penalties and invalidates the transaction.
